Intra-uterine Insemination (IUI)
In an IUI procedure, the practitioner inserts specially treated sperm through the cervix into the woman’s uterus. IUI increases the likelihood of fertilization and is performed around the time of ovulation.
In vitro fertilization (IVF)
This is a process by which egg cells are fertilized by sperm outside the body, in an incubator. The fertilized egg (zygote) is then transferred to the patient’s uterus with the intent to establish a successful pregnancy.
Intra-cytoplasmic sperm injection (ICSI)
ICSI is an assisted conception technique, which may be, used where a male has only a few live sperm or where sperm quality is poor or lacking motility. During ICSI, a single sperm is injected directly into the white (cytoplasm) of a mature egg using a pipette.
Egg/Sperm freezing and storage
